Salons by JC 25th Anniversary Documentary

As I have progressed in my career as a filmmaker, the most important thing I’ve learned is the value of great partnerships—more than the subject matter or even the budget is the trust and admiration held between me and my clients. With Salons by JC, we’ve really grown together over the last 5 years, which made creating this 25th anniversary documentary more than a good opportunity. I’ve become invested in the company’s mission and I believe they trust me to accurately and thoughtfully portray that mission.

This documentary was made to be shown at their annual franchisee conference and for future generations of entrepreneurs to learn how it all started. The goal was inspire their growing network with the founder’s origin story—to remind people that the founding principles that drove the founders 25 years ago still drive the company today. I worked closely with the executive and marketing teams to carefully craft a vision that we could realize within a limited budget and time frame. This film is intended for a very specific group of people but I believe that the naturalistic and emotional execution exemplifies the kind of filmmaking I strive for in every project.
