I picked up a camera because I wanted to be granted special access to the thoughts and lives of people—people I admired or people who I knew nothing about—it didn’t really matter who the person was because anyone is interesting if you listen carefully and give them chance to share who they really are. I believe that my purpose in life is to tell real stories about real people.
